Sustainability Services - Overview
HVS Sustainability Services provides a range of business-driven consulting services that enable hospitality firms to identify cost savings opportunities, enhance operational efficiency, and demonstrate a positive commitment to the environment to guests, investors, and other relevant stakeholders. HVS works directly with owners and operators to evaluate the business case for capital investment into environmental technologies; our unique approach leverages the resources and technical expertise of the world’s leading environmental and facility management professionals. We further promote accessibility to conventional and nonconventional financing mechanisms for retrofit and new construction projects. Sustainability Services operates globally, with regional headquarters in India and the United States.
Sustainability Services specializes in the following:
- Benchmarking – Establishment of baseline parameters for facility performance relating to utility consumption and operational procedures, providing an initial indicator of the potential to optimize efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Auditing – Completion of an investment-grade review of environmental performance and operational procedures, as well as identification and quantification of opportunities for improvement (including ROI analysis and provision of an implementation framework).
- Implementation Support – Assistance with all aspects of project implementation including financing, owner’s representation, project management, procurement, employee training, and performance monitoring.
- Certification – Certification of compliance against established criteria, including HVS’ proprietary Ecotel® program and the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED program.
- Green Asset Management - Oversight of all aspects of environmental programming, from initial benchmarking and auditing through full project implementation and monitoring.
