Experience

As an Associate Director in HVS's Consulting and Valuation division, Stephen has been responsible for conducting a wide variety of hotel feasibility studies and valuations throughout Europe and Africa. Assignments have covered a broad range of assets and purposes within the industry, including:

Single upscale and luxury assets, portfolios exceeding 20 properties, mixed-use developments, student accommodation, hotel trademark valuations, business plan reviews, expert advice for legal disputes, theme park developments, medical resorts, properties in new and emerging markets, all-inclusive resorts, and various others.

Employment History

Upon graduation from the University of Western Ontario in Canada, Stephen spent a year working at a Best Western Plus on the outskirts of the Greater Toronto Area. It was there that he realized his passion for the hotel industry and made the decision to pursue an Master of Science in International Hotel Management at the University of Surrey in Guildford, UK.

Stephen graduated with Distinction and top of his class, and was awarded the Savoy Educational Trust for his dissertation on the changing nature of revenue management. After graduating, he worked for Hyatt for a year before being recruited by HVS as a Consulting & Valuation Analyst in the Autumn of 2014.
