Consulting Experience

Over the course of her ten-year career with HVS, Desiree Flanary, MAI, has been involved with appraisals and feasibility studies for over 500 hotel and resort properties throughout the United States. She has worked on projects for hotels of all sizes and orientations, primarily focused on the West Coast and mountain regions of the United States. In addition, she has worked in a number of destination resort markets near national and state parks, including Moab, UT; Pigeon Forge, TN; Estes Park, CO; Jackson Hole, WY; Big Sky, MT; East Glacier Park Village, MT; and areas surrounding Yosemite National Park. Desiree excels at valuations of even the most complex, atypical, and time-sensitive hotel assignments. In the consulting realm, she offers keen insights on proposed hotel projects and long-term feasibility. She has authored a number of articles on markets in the Western United States and speaks at conferences on a regular basis. Desiree is a designated member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and a state-certified general appraiser.
