Batipart acquires six-hotel portfolio in Luxembourg from CMIL 

Luxembourg-based investment firm Batipart has acquired a six-hotel portfolio, totalling 902 rooms, from compatriot CMIL. Batipart has acquired the leasehold interests of the 109-room Sofitel Luxembourg Europe, the 260-room Novotel Kirchberg, the 110-room Novotel Suites Luxembourg and the 145-room Mama Shelter currently under development, as well as the freehold interest of the 128-room Sofitel Luxembourg Le Grand Ducal and the 150-room Novotel Luxembourg Centre. The portfolio also comprises over 14,000 sqm of office space. 

Tamaris and Comète hotels in Paris sold to Extendam and Elegancia 

Private equity firm Extendam, together with French operator Elegancia, are acquiring the 30-room Comète Hotel and the adjoining 42-room Tamaris Hotel, both situated in the 20th district of Paris. The new owners are planning a renovation for the Tamaris Hotel and the creation of a shared terrace in front of the hotels. This transaction represents Extendam’s fourth acquisition in cooperation with Elegancia.

FLE acquires Best Western in Genoa from ICE Real Estate 

Genoa-based ICE Real Estate is selling the 115-room Best Western Premier CHC Airport in Genoa, Italy, to investment advisor FLE on behalf of the fund FLE Italia Fund 1, a European alternative investment fund with assets of more than €3 billion under management. FLE is part of the LFPI Group. The hotel will continue to be operated by Italian operator CHC. 

Hesperia acquires La Manga Resort in Spain from Arum Group 

Spanish Hesperia Investor Group has acquired a controlling interest in the 192-room five-star hotel La Manga Club, located on Spain’s southern coast between Valencia and Malaga, from local resort manager Arum Group. Spread over 560 hectares, the luxury resort comprises the 192-room, the five-star Prince Felipe hotel, 200 four-star apartments, 2,000 sqm of spa facilities and three golf courses. Hesperia will manage the newly acquired hotel and is planning several investments to increase the product quality, while Arum, through its subsidiary Inmogolf, will continue to manage the resort’s residential units.
