As the HVS leader for the Southeast & Gulf Coast Region, Adam Lair oversees the firm's Atlanta, Charlotte, Charleston, and New Orleans offices. A New Orleans native, Adam is based in Atlanta and manages some of the firm's most complex consulting and valuation engagements.
Previously, Adam served as the HVS Managing Director of the California and Southwest region and provided unparalleled expertise on markets throughout the West Coast and Third Coast, as well as the Hawaiian Islands. He has completed hotel valuations and appraisals on hotel real estate with an aggregate value of over $20 billion.
Adam provides highly credible and meticulous hotel appraisals, feasibility studies, and market studies to major institutional lenders, investors, ownership groups, and hotel brands throughout the U.S., including J.P. Morgan, Deutsche Bank, MetLife, Marriott, and Hyatt. He has been praised by clients for his visionary strategic guidance and complex problem-solving on large-scale assets such as destination resorts and convention headquarters hotels.
Adam was part of the group that performed the initial studies on the planned 1,000-room Signia Hotel in Downtown Atlanta, the largest hotel project in Atlanta in years. He also has considerable experience evaluating resort assets, including the following:

In addition, Adam has authored numerous articles on valuation, lodging and the hospitality industry.
Adam holds the designation of MAI as a Designated Member of the Appraisal Institute and is a state-certified general appraiser.
