Parris E. Jordan, Vice President with HVS New York and Managing Director of HVS Bahamas, has conducted and overseen hundreds of consulting and valuation assignments for hotels and portfolios across the U.S., the Caribbean, and Central America. He founded CHICOS (the Caribbean Hotel Investment Conference & Operations Summit), the region’s premier annual hospitality conference. Parris also speaks regularly at hospitality events worldwide and lectures in the Lodging Development program at New York University, where he also served as adjunct professor. He established the HVS HEAT (Hospitality Education and Training) program, which provides the means for developing tourism markets to capture a greater share of global tourism revenue by delivering world-class guest services. Before joining HVS, Parris worked at the New York State Division of Tourism and in restaurant roles on Long Island. He also worked at the Chaconia Inn and the Hilton International hotels in Trinidad and Tobago. Parris earned a BS in Hospitality Management from New York City Technical College (NYCTC) and an MS in Tourism Management from New York University (NYU). His many accolades include recognition as an NYU Investment Conference Patron Scholar and NYCTC Distinguished Alumnus of the Year.
